Hospitals that have achieved success in the overall performance are based on a composite rating from pillars of strength which include quality, outcomes, patient perspective, and financial efficiency. Brodstone has received this award thirteen times, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024.
Brodstone Healthcare has been named a Top 20 Critical Access Hospital (CAH) in 2020 and 2023 by The Chartis Center for Rural Health. The rankings were announced by the National Rural Health Association(NRHA).
Brodstone Healthcare is a proud recipient of the 2022 Outstanding Patient Experience Award. Healthgrades evaluates patient experience based on 10 measures, using data collected from surveys of the hospital’s own patients. Hospitals in the top 15% are recognized as Outstanding Patient Experience Award™ recipients.
As part of the 10th Annual National Rural Health Day in November 2020, Brodstone Healthcare (formerly Brodstone Memorial Hospital) was recognized by the National Organization of State Offices of Rural Health (NOSORH) as the 2020 Nebraska Community Star. The award recognizes individuals, organizations, and coalitions making a positive impact in rural communities.
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) awarded Brodstone Healthcare (formerly Brodstone Memorial Hospital) with 5 Stars in Patient Experience when they published their list in August 2020. This makes Brodstone a Double 5 Star winner, Quality and Patient Experience.
Brodstone Healthcare (formerly Brodstone Memorial Hospital) was recognized by the The Chartis Center of Rural Health and the National Organization of State Offices of Rural Health (NOSORH) for overall excellence in Quality and Patient Perspective in 2021. Brodstone also received the award for Outcomes in 2016, Quality in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 and Patient Perspective in 2016, 2018 and 2020.
Brodstone Healthcare (formerly Brodstone Memorial Hospital) is a Top 10 recipient of the 2020 Rural Provider Excellence in Quality Award from the Nebraska Office of Rural Health. The 2020 “Rural Provider Excellence in Quality Award” recognizes Top 10 overall performance in quality among Nebraska’s 64 Critical Access Hospitals.

Becker’s Hospital Review has named Brodstone Healthcare (formerly Brodstone Memorial Hospital) among the nation’s top 27 patient-recommended hospitals, based on the most recent HCAHPS score. HCAHPS is a national, standardized survey of hospital patients about their experiences during a recent inpatient hospital stay. Brodstone received this honor in 2021.
