Vyzourek Honored with American Hospital Association Grassroots Champion Award

Superior, NE — The American Hospital Association (AHA) has recognized Treg Vyzourek, CEO of Brodstone Healthcare, as Nebraska’s 2026 Grassroots Champion Award recipient. The annual award honors one hospital leader from each state who demonstrates outstanding advocacy on behalf of hospitals, patients, and the communities they serve.

The AHA Grassroots Champion Award is presented in partnership with state hospital associations to leaders who excel in building community support, engaging in vital discussions with policymakers, and advancing policies that strengthen health care delivery across their states. Honorees are selected for their commitment to driving grassroots involvement and ensuring that key health care issues remain front and center with elected officials.

This year, Vyzourek was recognized for his exceptional leadership and hands-on advocacy, often working behind the scenes and traveling extensively to ensure rural health voices are represented. From frequent visits to Lincoln to meet with the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services to his involvement in complex Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP) discussions, Vyzourek’s dedication has made a meaningful impact statewide.

As the former chair of the Nebraska Hospital Association (NHA) Policy Development Committee, Vyzourek played a significant role in shaping policy priorities and advancing initiatives critical to hospitals and the patients they serve.

“Treg has been a driving force—on the road, in the boardroom, and across the state,” said the Nebraska Hospital Association. “His leadership, persistence, and commitment to rural health ensures that the needs of Nebraska’s communities are heard loud and clear.”

Brodstone Healthcare congratulates Treg on this well-deserved recognition and gratitude for his unwavering service to hospitals, caregivers, and rural patients in our local communities, as well as across the state.
