Superior, NE – Nifty Thrifty by Brodstone is proud to announce a $100,000 donation to the Brodstone Foundation. The gift reflects the continued generosity of shoppers, donors, volunteers, and supporters who make Nifty Thrifty a meaningful resource for both the community and local healthcare. Nifty Thrifty has a long history of reinvesting proceeds into patient care through the Brodstone Foundation.
A portion of the donation will be used to update and enhance equipment in Brodstone Healthcare’s Emergency Department, further strengthening the organization’s cardiac care capabilities and ensuring patients have access to modern technology close to home.
“We are incredibly grateful to everyone who donates, shops, and volunteers at Nifty Thrifty,” said Heather Erickson, Senior Director of Development at Brodstone Healthcare. “This remarkable gift demonstrates the power of community support. Through the Brodstone Foundation, these funds will directly impact patient care and help ensure our organization continues to provide high-quality healthcare services for generations to come.”
These enhancements build upon Brodstone’s existing ability to provide high-quality emergency cardiac care while supporting continued investment in the latest healthcare technology.
Since opening its doors, Nifty Thrifty has served as more than a thrift store. It has become a community-driven partnership that transforms donated items into investments in local healthcare. From equipment purchases to facility enhancements, proceeds from the store continue to have a lasting impact on patients and families throughout the region.
“Every item donated, every purchase made, and every volunteer hour contributed helps strengthen healthcare services for our communities. We are deeply thankful to everyone who makes Nifty Thrifty’s mission possible,” Erickson added. "Thanks to Nifty Thrifty’s donation, patients can receive state-of-the-art cardiac care close to home, guided by the providers and care teams they know and trust.”
Nifty Thrifty offers a wide variety of gently used clothing, furniture, home décor, household goods, and more. Community members who shop, donate, and volunteer play a direct role in supporting healthcare initiatives through the Brodstone Foundation.
