Superior, NE – Brodstone Healthcare today announced it is the recipient of a 2025 Rural Provider Excellence in Quality Award from the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services. This annual award, which recognizes Top 10 overall performance in quality among the state’s Critical Access Hospitals, was presented during the recent Nebraska Critical Access Hospitals and Rural Health Clinics Conference on Quality.
“We are incredibly honored and proud to be recognized with the Rural Provider Excellence in Quality Award," said Treg Vyzourek, CEO at Brodstone Healthcare. "This recognition is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our entire team in delivering exceptional, high-quality care to the communities we serve.”
The Rural Provider Excellence in Quality Award uses the Chartis Rural Hospital Performance INDEX© framework to analyze Medicare Beneficiary Quality Improvement Project measures for Critical Access Hospitals in Nebraska. The analysis percentile-ranks performance for each facility across 25 metrics, and those facilities with the 10 highest scores are recognized with the Rural Provider Excellence in Quality Award.
“The state of Nebraska is home to more than 60 Critical Access Hospitals, and each of these facilities is passionately committed to delivering high quality care to our rural communities,” said Nancy Jo Hansen, Flex and SHIP Program Manager, Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services. “We’re delighted to recognize the strategies, innovation, and dedication that have enabled this year’s award winners to rise to the top of a group of impressive performers.”
“Our analysis and rural-relevant benchmarks regularly place Nebraska’s Critical Access Hospitals among the nation’s best performers across multiple facets of hospital operations,” said Michael Topchik, Executive Director, Chartis Center for Rural Health. “We are pleased to once again join the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services in celebrating the achievements of this year’s Rural Provider Excellence in Quality Award recipients.”
