SUPERIOR, Neb. — Brodstone Healthcare is proud to announce Kristi Wehrman, MSN, RN, Nurse Educator, as the recipient of the Employee of the Quarter Award for the Second Quarter of 2026. Wehrman was selected for her outstanding commitment to professional education, patient care excellence, and service to both Brodstone Healthcare and the surrounding community.

Kristi consistently demonstrates the values that define Brodstone Healthcare through her dedication to developing and supporting nursing staff. Her passion for education has led to the implementation and coordination of numerous learning opportunities that enhance staff knowledge, confidence, and patient outcomes.

Among her many accomplishments, Kristi has helped bring advanced educational programs to Brodstone Healthcare, including the Women’s Methodist obstetrics simulation training involving obstetric nursing staff, surgery staff, anesthesia professionals, and OB providers. She also coordinates semiannual skills days for nurses, health unit coordinators, aides, and OB nurses, while facilitating virtual educational opportunities through local aeromedical services. These initiatives have strengthened clinical competency across departments and equipped staff with the tools necessary to provide the highest standard of patient care.

Whether assisting with patient care during busy shifts or mentoring team members as they learn new skills, she is a trusted resource for colleagues throughout the organization. Her approachable leadership style has helped create a safe and supportive learning environment where staff feel comfortable asking questions and growing professionally.

Over the past year, Kristi has also expanded her role within obstetrics. She became a primary OB nurse, participated in several Nebraska Perinatal Quality Improvement Collaborative initiatives, and earned certification as a Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Instructor. By combining her enthusiasm for education with her growing expertise in obstetrics, she has made a significant impact on both patient care and staff development.

“Kristi’s dedication to education, patient care, and teamwork makes her an invaluable member of the Brodstone Healthcare family. Her commitment to helping others succeed has fostered a culture of learning and excellence throughout our organization.”

In addition to her contributions at Brodstone Healthcare, Kristi is deeply involved in her community. She volunteers her time teaching CCD, coaching youth basketball, and organizing Sandy Creek’s HOSA program, helping to inspire and develop the next generation of healthcare professionals and community leaders.

Brodstone Healthcare congratulates Kristi Wehrman on this well-deserved recognition and thanks her for the positive impact she continues to make on patients, coworkers, and the community.
