Superior, NE – Brodstone Foundation is thrilled to announce the implementation of Brodstone Treasure Boxes, a new initiative designed to bring joy and comfort to pediatric patients at Brodstone Healthcare.
Funded through the Brodstone Big Idea, an employee-driven event that awards funding for innovative equipment or technology, the Brodstone Treasure Boxes are overflowing with toys, trinkets, and age-appropriate surprises for young patients.
This heartwarming initiative was the brainchild of Brodstone employees Maddie Peterson, Director of Marketing and Public Relations, and Jennifer Simpkins, RN. Their winning idea secured funding thanks to the generous support of Oakeson Steiner Wealth and Retirement, who teamed up with the Brodstone Big Idea this year. In addition to the Brodstone Treasure Boxes, four other employee-driven ideas were funded.
“We are incredibly grateful to Oakeson Steiner for making the Brodstone Treasure Boxes a reality,” said Heather Erickson, Senior Director of Development. “These boxes will not only provide a welcome distraction for our young patients, but they will also help ease anxieties and create a more positive experience while at our facility."
The Brodstone Treasure Boxes were not just funded by innovative minds, but also crafted by dedicated hands. Longtime Brodstone employee, Steve Bruns, designed and built the treasure boxes, ensuring they are both functional and visually appealing for young patients.
