SUPERIOR, NE - The Brodstone Foundation hosted its 3rd Annual Raise to Remember Flag Exchange on Friday, May 22nd at the Brodstone South Entrance Drive-Through. Serving as a fantastic kickoff to Superior’s Victorian Festival weekend, the event saw exceptional turnout, more than doubling last year's impact by distributing just over 100 brand-new American flags to area residents.
The initiative allowed community members to exchange their faded or worn American flag for a new replacement free of charge. In partnership with the Foundation, members of Boy Scout Troop 97 and Cub Scout Pack 97 collected the retired banners to ensure they receive a proper, dignified disposal.
New to the event this year, the scouts introduced a grab-and-go free-will donation hamburger meal for participants passing through the drive-through. The fundraiser was a massive success, yielding generous community contributions that will directly fund upcoming activities and equipment for both the Troop and Pack.
The Brodstone Foundation extends its sincere gratitude to all the volunteers, scouts, and community members whose support made this third annual event the most impactful to date.
